Circulators, have you seen this?
Library Success: A Best Practices Wiki
It looks like it could be useful resource once it fills up. Plus it will be funny to see if a wiki war breaks out in the Library Website Hall of Fame.

Steve -
I’m still feeling all burned up about wikis because of the Wikipedia thing (I hold grudges for a very long time). Also, I can’t stand the word “wiki.” But beyond that, it’ll be interesting to see how this will be used – and not just because there’s seems to be a disconnect between the use of the phrase “best practices” and “anything that might be useful to other librarians”. Well, which is it?
I hope that we haven’t reduced “best practices” to “just a bunch of junk people do” [my phrasing]. Because certainly things that I do, have done, or will do are not necessarily going to be the “best” way to do them.
Also, how can I know that this information is on the level if folks don’t need to sign their names? Haven’t we been trained since day one of LIS to only trust authoritative sources?
But I digress.
A Wookie war would be more fun than a wiki war. Or maybe a Wonka war: Gene Wilder vs. Johnny Depp.
